Karol’s already here in NZ. Woot!
I still can’t believe that he’s actually here. It never really sank in until he stepped out from the Wellington airport’s arrival gate.
He was there walking towards me, smiling like crazy, and welcomed me with a big “ang taba mo!” greeting. “It is really him”, I told myself. I’m not dreaming! I punched him in return, gave him a quick squeeze then he said hi to my dad. We were hyper. Couldn’t stop giggling while chatting all the way to the baggage claim area. It felt really nice because I sense no feel of awkwardness between the 2 of us. He’s the same karol I have loved ages ago.
We prepared dinner for him and invited few people. Everyone’s teasing me how happy I looked but I didn’t mind. They were right. I was really happy, and I can see that he’s really happy as well. He missed me. Weeeee.
Spending a week alone with him felt so perfect. We were so busy talking, wandering around Welly, cuddling, talking, playing pool, cuddling, talking, shopping, cuddling, etc etc. It felt so great that I didn’t even notice that a week has already passed. He’s the same old Karol, naughty in a sweet kind of way.
I tried to introduce him to the NZ lifestyle and most especially to the language. He seemed perfectly ok with it, but in the first few days, he wouldn’t say an English word. I asked him to buy a bottle of water but he stubbornly refused. The following day, I tried again and managed to make him buy 2 large chips from maccas. Then the following night, we met up with some friends. One of them is a kiwi. We asked Chris (kiwi) to try to talk to Karol so that he’ll get used to the accent. A moment later I found them conversing about sports and heard karol say “Back in college I used to play basketball a lot, how about you?” etc etc wahahaha. He was so funny. I can sense the nervouseness, but he did really fine.
Then Saturday early morning, we both flew to Christchurch. Had a quick tour around the place before we head to the farm where he’ll be living. He’s staying with another pinoy in a 3 bedroom house, which is practically bigger than our house here. It’s self-contained. Everything’s provided. Only problem is we haven’t bought a computer yet to keep him entertained. But we’ll get to that.
When it was finally time to part ways again, it didn’t feel too bad. I know he’s in good hands, and he’s just 1hr fly away. Besides, we have unlimited texts, calls, and video calls, so life is a lot easier for us.
I’m seriously broke, sleepless and drained, but I still feel ridiculously happy. This is the life!

He is coming. He is definitely coming!
One problem left. We can’t find a flight for him owing to the season. I hope he gets a seat anytime between 19-25 Feb. Sigh. Everything is sorted, sya na lng ang wala. Hahaha.
I’m so happy! Can’t wait.

![]() | You scored as Natural Causes. Your death will be by natural causes, though not by any disease, because that is another option on this test. You will probably just silently pass away in the night from old age, and people you love won't realize until the next morning, when you are all purple and cold and icky. So be happy, you won't be murdered.

zzzzzzz....
Argh. I’m feeling too lazy today basically because today is Monday and tomorrow is a holiday. They call it Waitangi day, parallel to our Philippine independence day.
Just why in the world does 6Feb have to be a Tuesday? How i wish i am sick today. Argh. Apparently, they can’t really move Waitangi day on any other day so that it’ll sit next to a weekend. It has to be 6Feb, whatever day it falls into. So if it falls on a weekend, there will be no holiday from work whatsoever. A very useless holiday!
I had a very lazy weekend as well. Nothing interesting to do. And it was ridiculously hot yesterday. It happens so rarely that it’s rather uncomfortable already. Everyone in the house was in fact grumpy. Sigh.
My arms are really sore. Product of reckless go-karting. Sigh.
grrr! Need to sneak out of here. Time for window shopping. Bye!

RANT!
bakit ba may mga tao na napakadami ng hang-ups sa buhay? i'm not saying that i don't have any, pero i don't have as much as they have. i'm straightforward. wala na kung anu-ano ka-ek ek-an. if you want it, do it. if you don't want it then don't. it annoys me when a supposedly simple thing is complicated by too many dramas and detours.
sigh.
