I’m soooo sleepy. Updating data on the website is a very boring task. Argh.
…
I used to describe myself in slam books as simple. It’s lame but true. And I have to say, I’ve been living by that description most pertinently these past few weeks. I’m practically lazing around most days esp weekends, hanging out with friends who are mostly just next-door neighbours, doing the silliest stuff if not watching dvds.
Unquestionably, the simplest things make us happy. We never run out of topics to discuss, of movies to see, of things to do and of stuff to laugh at. It’s as if we live in a worry-free world where we are allowed to have whatever we desire however we want it. How I wish I was able to live my life this freely when I was in Pinas.
…
Karol a.k.a. bert was here again last week. He seems to be losing a lot of weight. He’s really tired and somewhat depressed. Sigh. I pray everyday that he find a job here in Wellington. That way, I can fully take care of him and share with him the simple, easy life that I currently enjoy.
…
superfriends will fly down south next week. Woot. We’ll be wandering around Christchurch and Queenstown. I will finally be able to try the luge. Can’t wait! 5 days off work. Wicked!
…
Boring. Boring. Boring. Zzzz.
…
Dolands will soon be leaving for pinas. We’ll lose a driver for a month. Have to get my restricted licence before that. Pressure. =p

Expectation is a very compelling word. It drags you in a direction either favourable to you or not, and rule you without the slightest idea. And whether it is someone else’s expectation of you or your own expectation of yourself, failure to meet it causes you outright frustration that often leaves you wondering if you’re ever good enough. It is always a conscious effort to tell yourself that hey so what if I failed, so what if I sucked. I am my own driver. I deserve another chance to take another stab at this cursed expectation laid upon my hands.
