As it turns out, I'm not a terrible driver after all. like many other occasions, it just took me a while to learn. I've always been like that—a late bloomer. but I'll get there, at least according to my father.

It's queen's bday on Monday hence another day off work. Woot. I so love the idea of benefiting from someone else's birthday which I don't really effing care about (she's their queen, not mine).

Gloria was here in NZ last week. She had an intimate and juicy discussion with Aunt Helen Clark. It was all over the news here. Some Fili guy even made a protest against Gloria in front of the parliament. Jusmio.

Karol bought this old car from his German friend (o diba sosyal, may german friend. haha). It's nothing extravagant, but for a just-so-i-have-car car which he only parks outside the garage as someone else's car owns the space and often leaves there freezing literally as ice, it's all good.

life is getting a bit better for him, I think. as early as now, he's already reaping the fruits of his blood-sweating labour. he enjoys his top-of-the-line gaming notebook, he just bought his first NZ car, he manages to financially support his younger siblings, he rides airplanes once in a while, he's getting better with his English (supposedly), he's got some friends coming over to stay in the same area, and he gets to see me more frequently than before.

dolands going back to pinas in October (Di na makatulog ang gago). Sometimes I hope that he'll stay there for good. Che!
...
another friend's leaving us once again. she'll try her luck in the US. she has always wished to live there apparently. i feel really bad about that. on my nagiinarte-mode days, i tend to think that this is the karma i get for leaving my friends in pinas. but for my sanity to come back to me, i have to always remind myself that life's like that. people come and go. having said that, one part of me admires their courage to chase the life they have always wished to live. i hope they do great.
...
one of my friends here will tour the world (exaggerated! 6 countries lang) in 3 weeks for NZ$3k. that's cheaper than i thought it would be. kelan ko kaya magagawa un?
...
life is too damn unpredictable. but i guess that's the real beauty of it.
